Jennie Germann Molz
Jennie Germann Molz is a sociologist and professor at the College of the Holy Cross whose research explores mobility, technology, and alternative forms of family life. She’s the author of The World Is Our Classroom: Extreme Parenting and the Rise of Worldschooling (NYU Press), a book that examines why growing numbers of families are taking their children out of traditional school settings to educate them while traveling full-time.
Blending academic insight with personal experience—Jennie spent a year traveling the world with her ten-year-old son—she explores how worldschooling families rethink education, embrace uncertainty, and build community through travel. Her work sheds light on how digital nomadism, parenting, and schooling are converging to create new ways of living and learning on the move.
