Kate McAllister
Kate McAllister is a teacher, trainer, and co-founder of The Human Hive, an organization that supports changemakers through education, wellbeing, and community regeneration. She has over two decades of teaching experience and has worked internationally to develop teachers, design learning models, and respond to crisis through education.
In 2015, she helped launch Crisis Classroom by converting a double-decker bus into a mobile school in the Calais refugee camp. That work grew into The Human Hive, which focuses on rebuilding agency and connection in high-stress environments. In 2020, she founded The Hive in the Dominican Republic, a school and training center for self-directed learning and regenerative practice.
Kate’s work centers on nervous system regulation, co-regulation, and building cultures of wellbeing across sectors. She is a published author, a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, and a Fellow of the RSA.
